Internet and Remote Banking Management Software
Remote banking, also known as online banking or internet banking, is a way for customers to manage their finances, bank account or investments, from anywhere and at any moment.
One of the key benefits of remote banking is the ability to access financial services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means that customers can check their account balances, transfer funds, pay bills, and perform other transactions at any time of day, without having to visit a physical bank branch or ATM.
Remote banking allows a bank to serve customers in a more convenient and less costly way. Remote banking is usually split into two categories, based on the device used to access online banking services:
- internet banking, i.e. online banking services available on a platform projected for a PC with a screen, a browser and a physical keyboard;
- mobile banking, i.e. an app for smartphone that delivers a range of banking services.
Internet and mobile banking need to offer different, and possibly unique, customer experiences, as the customers can rely on completely different devices.
The most recent online banking platforms see the internet and the mobile banking services as two aspects of an integrated, omnichannel service model.
